1. Meal Prep Saves You Money

If you have food ready to eat, you are more likely not to go out and buy takeout. This also means you can make healthier choices! The money you spend per meal is so much cheaper when you have prepped your meals for the week or even got some freezer meals ready at home because you are creating your meals in bulk. So every week when you go to the grocery store, you should be spending less as well!

2. Meal Prep Reduces Food Waste

When you meal prep, you plan ahead but you also use everything you got in your fridge. Nothing goes to waste plus you can most likely freeze it before it goes bad!

3. Meal Prep Saves You Time

Sounds crazy right?! I feel like when people think of meal prep, they think that it takes forever. I think the best thing you can do is start implementing certain things into your cooking routine one by one. So for example, cook in larger batches! If you make more, then you can freeze some for later.

4. Meal Prep Doesn’t Have to Be Boring! It’s Fun!

People always think I eat the same thing over and over again. Ummm, NO! I would lose my mind if I had to eat the same thing daily even though my hubby wouldn’t mind. They secret to this is to make simple foods so you can put them together in all different ways!

5. Meal Planning Reduces Stress

If you plan your meals ahead of time, you save time, money and stress wondering what you are going to eat for dinner that night. I think that meal prep is a life saver because it allows you to spend your energy on something else during the week then just on cooking. I mean I love my kitchen and spending time in there but not ALL day. You with me?!

I share lots of meal prep ideas on my YouTube channel so check that out. But I will be sharing more of my tips on how to get started because I know it can be overwhelming and intimidating. But I promise, once you get the hang of things, you will be a meal prep pro in no time!

Talk to you soon.
